With an RS232-Interface set up for pNET online communication,
external computers can directly access the
multi-port memory
of SYSTEM-90E.
pNET Online-Communication follows the pNET protocol and is managed completely by SYSTEM-90E
online – there is no need to involve an additional user program. Due to its simple layout,
pNET protocol is very easy to implement.

| Features |
Full access to all data
- Transmission of all data stored within SYSTEM-90E
- Data is transmitted from the computer to SYSTEM-90E and vice versa
Access to inputs and outputs
- Reading from and writing to all digital and analog inputs and outputs
Networking capability
- Connection of several control units via RS232 interfaces
- Interconnection of the control units via the multi-master network
- Random access of the computer to all systems

Easy to implement
The pNET protocol uses solely visible ASCII characters. It is designed as a handshaking protocol,
i.e. SYSTEM-90E replies to every message sent by the computer. |

| Frequent applications |
Transmission of all kinds of operational data (e.g. quantity, length) |
Preselection of the prescribed run sequence |
Presentation of measurement data obtained from image processing |
